GENERAL POSTING POLICY
Updated January 2025
This General Posting Policy applies to all listings and other content you upload to Activeq (Your Content). We reserve the right to interpret and apply this Posting Policy in our absolute discretion.
There are two ways we will determine that Your Content does not comply with this Posting Policy:
Your Content is reported to us by another user: When this happens, Your Content may be temporarily suspended while we review it. We check reported content as quickly as we can. If we conclude that Your Content does not violate our Terms of Use or this Posting Policy, we will re-activate Your Content. Check back after a few hours to see if this is the case. If we conclude that Your Content does violate our Terms of Use or this Posting Policy, it will remain deactivated, and you will not be able to re-post it or access it.
Your Content is flagged by our site moderators: Any content which is identified by moderation to breach our Terms of Use or this Posting Policy will be removed from the site. In most cases, where possible we will email you to let you know when we have had to remove Your Content.
There are various reasons why Your Content may be suspended or deleted, as explained below.
Breach of a category specific posting policy: We reserve the right to create and apply policies for certain categories. If you do not comply with a category specific policy, you will be in breach of this posting policy.
Breach or potential breach of our Terms of Use, applicable laws, regulations or codes: For example, any breach of the Fair Work Act 2009 (such as the rate of pay offered), modern slavery laws, discrimination laws, privacy laws, the Children’s Advertising Code, exploitation of minors, consumer laws or other applicable laws or regulations.
Content designed to manipulate search functions: This includes keyword stuffing and adding tags to Your Content.
Duplication: Your Content is a duplicate of content already posted by you to the Website.
Wrong or no applicable area/category: If Your Content is posted in an inappropriate area/category of the Website. If there is no relevant area/category, it’s likely Your Content is prohibited.
Not in English: We only accept content posted in English, because we are an Australian based site. You may include a translated version within Your Content.
Posted overseas or behind a VPN: This applies unless the Listing is posted in anticipation of you being in Australia. Activeq is for Australian based individuals and businesses only.
Poor description: Listings that do not provide enough detail and therefore could violate consumer laws or lead to a bad browsing experience.
Inappropriate language or images: Any content which contains inappropriate languages, photos or images, or any content which may amount to potential exploitation of children or adults, including those which may contravene the Australian Association of National Advertisers Code of Conduct.
Fraudulent listings: Please report potentially fraudulent Listings by contacting us directly at info@activeq.com.au with details (ad id, email address) and reasons why these Listings should be reviewed.
Profiteering: Listings that are intended to profit off natural disasters, health or public safety concerns (including epidemics or pandemics or related government restrictions), or tragic events.
Misinformation: Listings that contain false or unverified information such as political or health information.
If Your Content has been removed, and you have reviewed all of these reasons and none of them apply to Your Content, then please let us know by contacting us at info@activeq.com.au and we'll review Your Content.
